Silica Insulating Blanket

Description:

Silica insulating blanket is made from short glass fiber with a high SiO2 content. These filaments are combed into a net using special equipment and then layered and needle-punched to form the final product. Its SiO2 content usually reaches over 96%, and it can operate stably at around 1000℃ for a long time. Silica insulating blanket comes in two types: standard type and pre-sintered type. The latter exhibits less contraction when working under high temperatures for a long time. Due to its excellent performance and similar composition to glass, it is highly suitable as the external insulating layer for the main crown of glass furnace.
