Zircon Brick
Zircon brick is a refractory brick made from zirconite as raw material through sintered process. It possesses excellent properties such as high-temperature resistance, good thermal shock resistance, and resistance to erosion by glass melt. Moreover, it can operate stably in an oxidizing atmosphere and does not undergo chemical reactions with molten metals. Its chemical property is neutral. It often works in glass furnace as partition bricks for melting tank side wall (soldier brick) and the superstructure, also known as gap brick.
Zircon-mullite Brick
Zircon-mullite brick exhibits excellent resistance to erosion and thermal shock in high-temperature environments, making them the preferred choice for high-temperature and highly erosive areas in glass furnace. It can be molded by either machine pressing or casting and then sintered. The content of ZrO2 is usually 6%, 12%, 20%, or 30%. It often works as refractory consumable for the feeded in glass furnace, and sometimes as paving brick at melter bottom.
Mullite Brick
Mullite brick ia an alumina-silica-based refractory brick with mullite as the main crystal phase. Its refractoriness is around 1850℃, with a high refractoriness under load, low creep rate at high-temperature, good thermal shock resistance, and resistance to erosion by acidic slag. It often works as peephole brick or burner brick in glass furnace.
Sillimanite Brick
Sillimanite brick has excellent thermal stability and possess good resistance to the erosion and scouring of glass melts. They cause little contamination to the glass melts and can work at multiple positions in glass furnace. It most commonly works as the rider arch brick in regenerative chamber in glass furnace.
